What a great time we had in Orlando! Disney, Universal Studios, MGM, dinner at Planet Hollywood, a beautiful hotel and so much more. Jimmy made the drive down with our family. We spent the first night in St. Augustine at Uncle Bob and Aunt Jenny's house. They came down to the game on Friday with Haley and Emily. Uncle Tony and Aunt Lisa met us there as well. Johnny was there with some friends that he had rented an RV with for the drive down. We ran into Frank and Chris Leizear at the hotel and spent time with them as well. A number of people from Frederick including Coach Mangold, students from Orchard Grove, and members of the Frederick American Legion baseball teams (Brian Neuens, Shaun Long, etc) were also at the game.
We had a big crowd for this one. Grandma Coffren, Uncle Bobby, Uncle Tony, Aunt Lisa, Uncle Eddie, Aunt Beth Ann, Cousin Sara, Aunt Jean and Uncle Bob (and Uncle Jim, Aunt Lisa, Jimmy and Sarah as always). Everyone was ready to rush the field after the game but sadly it was not to be.
Another great win and another wild scene on the field. Actually saw Danny on the field after this one as he was heading into the locker room. Aunt Lisa M, Aunt Sharon Uncle Tony, Uncle Bobby, Uncle Billy, Billy and Nicky stopped by on the field to see Danny. I don't think I've ever been with someone who was asked for their autograph - over and over again. Again we forgot to tape the game. Shawne Merriman, Scott McBrien, Steve Sutter and a number of other former Terps were on the sideline during the game. Uncle Jim took the pictures in the second slideshow. Tommy, Jimmy and Aunt Lisa missed the game because fo the Tuscarora Homecoming.
Very cold and windy for Uncle Jim's first game on the field helping me take pictures for the MGN web site. Wild scene as the fans stormed the field after the game to celebrate the Terps becoming bowl eligible. Unfortunately we forgot to tape the game so no video clips from the post-game celebration on the field. The players wore their black jerseys and the students received a free black tee from Chevy Chase Bank that said "Blackout '06" on the front.
Absolutely perfect day for Maryland's Homecoming - well almost. Great weather, not a cloud in the sky and another Terps win! Only drawback was the camera broke as I was taking pictures of the Terps warming up. I managed to get a couple of Danny before the camera decided to die on me. Vernon Davis was on the sideline standing next to Danny but because the camera was broken I was unable to get a picture of the two of them together. The first picture in the slideshow was taken by the Kelly's while they were watching the game on TV. The picture is of Dan congratulating Lance Ball after a touchdown.
This was my first game on the field taking pictures for the MGN web site. Aunt Lisa M, Aunt Laura, Uncle Tony and Uncle Bobby came to the game and came down on the field to say hello to Danny. Afterwards Uncle Jim went with me to Gloria Friedgen's tailgate and joined the MGN.
A couple of Danny's best friends from high school, Patrick Greene and Chris Leizer, came down to watch the game and sat in Uncle Bobby's seats. Jimmy & Sarah's Aunt Debbie came to this game as well.
The pictures in this photo gallery are from Danny's first game as a Terp! Dad was too choked up to take pictures when Danny ran on the field. Mom, Tom and Katie sat with Dad in the seats that Danny reserved for us - section 27. Uncle Jim, Aunt Lisa E, Jimmy and Sarah have season tickets right next to us in section 28.
