Career
Football
Freshman
Danny started his high school career at Frederick High School in Frederick, MD. He made the Junior Varsity squad as a Freshman which was only the second year he had ever played football. He started every game at right defensive tackle and was the backup right tackle on offense.
Sophomore
Due to the redistricting of students in the county high schools, Danny became part of what would be the first senior class at the new Tuscarora High School. In this first year of the school's existance it consisted of only a Freshmen and Sophomore class. As a result there was only Freshman and JV Football teams. Danny was named co-captain of the Junior Varsity squad where he was a two-way starter. He played fullback on offense and linebacker on defense.
Junior
Danny was named co-captain of the first Tuscarora Varsity Football team. As a result of being the strongest player on the team in the weight room he was moved to left guard on offense and nose guard on defense.
Senior
Danny was again named co-captain of the Varsity Football team. He alternated between left guard and center on offense and played nose guard in the defense's Goal Line unit. With the first Senior class in school history, the Titans finished the season at 5-5. Danny received numerous post-season awards.
Baseball
Freshman
Danny made the Varsity Baseball team as a Freshman at Frederick High School where he was the backup catcher.
Sophomore
Danny was named co-captain of the Junior Varsity Baseball team (the only Baseball team the school had) where he was the starting catcher and pitcher.
Junior
Danny was named co-captain of the first Tuscarora Varsity Baseball team where he played catcher and third base.
Basketball
Freshman
Danny was named captain of the Freshmen Basketball team at Frederick High School where he was the starting center. At the end of the Freshmen season he was promoted to the Junior Varsity squad for the completion of their season.
Sophomore
Danny made the Junior Varsity Basketball team where he was the starting center.
